Guided Trips
Upper Delaware River system
Come take a float trip on the top tailwater systems in the northeast. Prolific hatches, world class wild trout, abundant wildlife and beautiful scenery in the Catskills make this river system a must see. We offer trips on both the East Branch and West Branch of the Delaware River. We employ a number of different fly fishing tactics depending on the daily conditions and time of year. Guided Trips are offered April - October. Night trips are available upon special request during June-August. Float trips are full day only.
Salmon River
The Salmon River located between Altmar and Pulaski, NY offers one of the most unique fly fishing experiences Upstate New York. Every fall, Lake Run Steelhead migrate up the Salmon River following Chinook, and Silver (Coho) Salmon that are returning to the river to spawn. This creates pristine conditions to target steelhead on the fly. Both swinging flies and nymphing can be equally as effective depending on the time of year and river conditions. Come learn how we target these explosive fish and experience one of the hardest fighting freshwater species out there. Salmon River trips are available from September - April with peak steelhead season being October-December. Most of our trips are wade only but Float Trips can be accommodated by request.
Syracuse small streams
The Syracuse area has many small streams and creeks within proximity of the city. Countless opportunities for freshwater fly fishing exist with Wild Brown Trout in the 18-20” range frequently caught. The season for these streams is short, and we only fish them from March - Early June. Water level fluctuates regularly depending on the year and is always monitored to ensure the fish stay protected. Euro Nymphing is the main tactic we use on these streams. With the free flowing water, gradient changes and pocket water, Euro Nymphing is a great way to present a fly to these fish where other tactics would struggle. If you want to learn how to tight line nymph or brush up on your tight line game. Join me for a session on a Syracuse Small Stream.
